Before your treatment begins, we will review your insurance policy and estimate how much will be owed to us at your initial visit. Most PPO dental insurance policies provide coverage for root canal therapy. The amount your insurance carrier will cover may depend on your type of plan, your maximum allowable, the amount of your deductible, if any, and the amount your insurance company is willing to pay for a specific procedure.
Anticipated fees will be discussed with you prior to initiating any treatment. We utilize a real time benefits program that gives us the most accurate estimate possible for your insurance coverage. However, please understand that this still does not and cannot be a guarantee of coverage. Please realize that the relationship is between you, the insured, and your insurance company. We can only provide an ESTIMATE of how much your insurance will cover towards treatment and collect that amount at the time of treatment.
Every insurance plan has limitations, exclusions, and complexities that may render estimates of coverage inaccurate. Insurance filing and reimbursement may change daily. Please read and understand your insurance information in order for you to maximize your insurance coverage. If you are uncertain as to whether the services we provide are covered by your insurance company, please contact your company prior to your visit. Regardless of your insurance benefits, we will recommend the treatment that is best for you.
Most insurance companies should respond to the claim within 30 days. Any insurance claim denied or remaining unpaid after 30 days will automatically become the responsibility of the patient. Should your insurance pay more than is estimated, we will promptly mail you a refund. If a balance remains after your insurance has sent payment, our office will send you a statement due upon receipt.
Please be advised that you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage.
