Dr. Frances Ballagas

Dr. Ballagas grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She has been involved in a number of volunteer activities including the Good Samaritan Dental Clinic and Gives Kids a Smile, and she has taught as an Assistant Professor (at pre-clinical) at both the University of Florida School of Dentistry and the University of Alabama School of Dentistry during her Endodontic Training. She completed her undergraduate degree and DMD from the University of Puerto Rico, with highest honors and continued her general practice residency at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. After practicing as a general dentist for six years she returned to the University of Florida where she completed a fellowship in Endodontics. She then completed her Endodontic Residency at the University of Alabama with additional clinical experience in the Department of Veteran Affairs.

 

Professional Memberships: American Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Florida Association of Endodontics, Pan-America Dental Association, Dental Society of Greater Orlando. Outside of practice she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, friends and family. She also enjoys reading, cooking, biking, exercising, and traveling.

Dr. Ballagas grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She has been involved in a number of volunteer activities including the Good Samaritan Dental Clinic and Gives Kids a Smile, and she has taught as an Assistant Professor (at pre-clinical) at both the University of Florida School of Dentistry and the University of Alabama School of Dentistry during her Endodontic Training. She also practiced in Central Florida for six years prior to pursuing a two-year Endodontic Residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is Board Eligible by the American Board of Endodontics, and is in the process of pursuing board certification.
She has had the privilege of serving on the American Association of Endodontics as a member of the Educational Affair Committee. 
Outside of practice she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, friends and family. She also enjoys reading, cooking, biking, exercising, and traveling.
